Re: Clutch no go :-( Slave cyl?

well, it's either leaking at the slave cylinder or the clutch master, if there isn't a spot under the car then look under your carpet, if there is fluid under your carpet then your clutch master is bad.....they usually leak inside the car where the push rod comes out the master....as I said before,...

Clutch no go :-( Slave cyl?

Last time I drove the car it shifted fine. Today I tried going for a drive for the first time in months.... started the car up, tried to put it in 1st CRRRUNCH shit better stop that! It just won't disengage the clutch... I know, because I tried to start the car in gear with my foot on the clutch and...

Re: Electrical Issues 72 510

Spending your labour weekend on the car too I see :-) Nice to hear you got a WOF! All your hard work motivated me to actually put my seats and seatbelts back in today. You don't want to try making the SSS gauges work? You could check to see if you have the senders for the additional SSS gauges insta...

Re: Hello, its about my datusn 510

And if you're still not sure, there should be a bore size on the side of the new and old parts, if that is the same and it looks like the bolt holes are the same, it's the right one.

Re: Electrical Issues 72 510

Don't mention it, I spend all day helping crappy Legacy GT's get back on the road, I'd rather see another 1600 back on it.

Re: Swap... your indulgence..... your ideas???

I just noticed the 8500rpm redline.... is your motor out of a AE111 BZ-R? Mine only goes to 8K!

Re: Swap... your indulgence..... your ideas???

I don't know how hard it is to fit a 4AGE into a 510 but I've seen them in 1200 sedans so it can't be impossible! You didn't say whether your motor is a 16V or a 20V, but with the power figure quoted I'm guessing it's a black 20V. I own a 510 and a AE111 Trueno BZ, so I can do the measurements for y...

Re: Coupe windshield differences

tycot1, that was also my understanding of what constitutes a hardtop... it seems like a solid definition is hard to find, I always think of cars like these when someone mentions hardtop

Re: Never seen one before.

Man those are *so* common here, usually badged as Laurels but quite often as Glorias and occasionally Cedrics.

And mostly with RB25DE's and autos. Usually driven by wannabe drifters and rich teenagers.

Re: Coupe windshield differences

My bad, I assumed hardtop meant the windows had to roll down, I've noticed from some pics you 2-door guys can pop out the rear windows instead.. I guess that qualifies the KP510 and H510 as well.

Re: Electrical Issues 72 510

Did you *properly* clean ALL corrosion etc off the connections before reinstalling the battery? If the problem only started after removing the battery then that's what I would check first. Even on cars that run fine, tightening/cleaning dirty or loose terminals can often improve faults like rough id...

Re: Electrical Issues 72 510

Sorry it took me a while to reply, been very busy. The ute's actually at my work (wrecking yard) so I'm sure they won't charge me more than $50 or so. Probably less. On closer inspection it's also an internal regulator unit by the look of it (thought there was a regulator under the washer bottle, tu...

Re: Electrical Issues 72 510

You probably fried the regulator rectifier diodes.
sik_s13, I can get that ute alternator for you on Monday, it's an external regulator type so I'll grab the regulator too, I take it you can wait till next week?
