Re: WARNING about Hagerty insurance
I have Grundy and recently ran new identical quotes with both them and Hagerty at a $30K value on a 1971 510 and an estimated 2000 miles of use a year. Grundy was more than 50% cheaper and also included a $250 towing reimbursement/annually. Easy decision.

While I was on vacation a few items showed up from Australia... https://i.imgur.com/F9T77Ze.jpg Have been looking forward to the CV Kit showing up for a little while here. Will be nice to pretty much have an install and forget it setup that will require no maintenance for years to come. Not a cheap ...

I might be interested in the companion flanges. How much would you be passing them on for?

Alright - someone asked about the receipt of mostly OEM Nissan parts that will go together. Here they are and good luck finding them! - 27 Spline Inner Axle Flange and Inner CV (JDM S13 Nissan Silva with a CA18DE) - 27 Spline Outer Companion Flange and Outer CV (R30 Skyline and/or 280ZX Automatic) -...

I'm thinking he's afraid I'm going to ask for $$ back or something when really what I want is a solution maybe better spline cut axles. Thinking of Futofab axles as I've not heard of any play with them plus Dave is only an hour away 8>) I would take Troy up on a call. He does have a newer version o...

Re: NVH Issues
Ok this is a little embarrassing but I was not calculating the operating angles correctly. Found a good online calculator here - http://spicerparts.com/calculators/driveline-operating-angle-calculator. Bottom line is that my operating angles aren't as bad as I originally thought. But it does still s...

Re: NVH Issues
Worked on this again yesterday (took day off) and really didn't get anywhere. Dropped the driveshaft this time and fully supported the rear wheels so that there was no deflection. Measured the diff (0.9 degrees) and the rear of tranny (3.8 degrees). Clearly, things need to be adjusted. Based on the ...

Bryon - Your intake look really nice. Very impressed with the quality. If I hadn't stumbled across this one for a screaming deal, I would definitely be in the market for one of yours. So far I can't tell the difference on the aluminum driveshaft at all, which is what I expected. The theory is becaus...

Re: The Red Baron
Will be using a Ray Reed Racing manifold which is basically an early copy of a Datsun Comp intake. Dave Rebello looked at it and thought it would be fine. Yeah thinking my horsepower will be about the same as yours. Rebello will be dynoing it and then I will get the exhaust built and then dyno it ag...

Also picked up the following items to provide more information on the engine and electrical. Used Speedhut and ordered gauges that matched up best to the OEM look. In preparation for the new 2360cc motor, I had the 44mm Mikunis I purchased about a year ago rebuilt. Done by Dave Premo who is very well known in the Roadster community and organizes the Mt Shasta show (didn't even know that still happened). Dave is also the West Coast distributor for Mikuni so kno...
