Re: Thankful for... CNC Cylinder Heads

The K series are incredible engines to build both N/A and forced induction. Maybe someday!

There's already a good support for K swap miatas.

Some of the RWD stuff could be adapted to the 510 for sure!

Re: Fred's 73 2dr 510

Fred, you work looks really solid. Nice to make progress eh? It feels nice indeed! I'm almost done with the floors. I'll soon be able to test fit the seats/steering for the driving position, install my handbrake on the tunnel between the seats and hook it up to the maxima calipers. Then I'll move t...

Re: Fred's 73 2dr 510

I seriously don't know when it happened. I suspect it was in the shower afterwards with everything washing off my head. When grinding I wear my full face shield 100% of the time, dust mask, ear plugs, welding beanie, welding coat and leather gloves. I put the face shield on even when I'm just crawli...

Re: Fred's 73 2dr 510

Last night I didn't sleep a single minute during the whole night. When I got to bed I felt something scratching in my right eye and I wasn't able to keep it shut. I spent 2 hours trying to find the debris without succes. This morning I wen't to the optometrist and he found a microscopic metal chip e...

Re: Domestic size vs. Japanese import picture

The difference is still amazing compared to today's cars. In my small garage the 510 looks normal because the space is all cramped up with the car, tools, etc. When I roll it outside beside our dailies, it looks so small. The crazy thing is we have 2 compact cars (Hyundai Accent and Ford Fiesta), no...

Re: Fred's 73 2dr 510

I am still welding the floors... but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Speaking of tunnels, I finished welding the transmission cover https://i.imgur.com/AmucPiN.jpg https://i.imgur.com/N692fzq.jpg https://i.imgur.com/0GTcDUz.jpg And lap belt area https://i.imgur.com/18Yl2M2.jpg https://...

Re: Lap belt anchor point

Alright, thanks guys! I just wanted to be sure. I'll try cutting slowly and see if there are small patch welded on there and if there's a nut.

Lap belt anchor point

Can anyone point me exactly where the lap belt anchor point is suppose to be on the outside of the car? 2dr 1973 I feel like it should be somewhere around where I'm pointing out on this picture, but I want to make be sure before cutting. It looks like a thin plate was welded on my car around this ar...

Re: Corbeau Forza seats fitment

Alright, thanks. Yeah the Forza is bottom mount only and I want to keep my seat on sliders so others can drive my car. I'm very short and I don't need my seat to be low for helmet clearance, so side mount isn't necessary for me.

Re: Corbeau Forza seats fitment

Thanks guys! I guess I can make it work. I am running a Corbeau FX1 that is the same width as the Forza. With the seat centered on the steering wheel the shoulder bolster just barely touches the B pillar, not so much so that it is an issue at all though. Got a picture of how you mounted it and where...

Corbeau Forza seats fitment

Is anyone running the Corbeau Forza seats with Corbeau rails?

I'm looking at entry level fixed back seats and they look like the most decent option. I'm afraid the 22.5" width at the shoulders is a bit too much and will rub on the door or B pillar.

Re: Fred's 73 2dr 510

I literally spent 2.5 hours writing an update and I closed chrome after clicking Preview instead of Submit... I'm kind of pissed at myself right now! So this update is probably going to be shorter with less details than originally intended. I finished my fuel tank soon after the last update. https:/...
