Re: WTB Square port header (or stock L16 exhaust mani.)

If you are having trouble with the gasket between the manifold and collector it's probably not the manifold. It's fixed and basically immovable. If the exhaust system was installed or built and the angle of the collector is off , that is probably why you can't get a seal. Both parts must be parallel...

I would double check clear and tinted. Without both side by side to compare, the tint is light and might look clear. Did any 72's come clear?

Re: saving a 73 2dr

I also have a nos 73 front bumper with brackets if your going to start spending money on it. And a pair of big black used overriders. Ive owned that year and color. Wish I still had it. When I repainted it it looked sharp. Nice save.

Re: 1971 Datsun 1600 SSS For Sale (not mine)

Sorry to hijack this thread. Nice car and the rear seats look awesome. Just a pic of the round top setup. It was very tight and upon removal there was a small rub mark on the cover.

Re: 1971 Datsun 1600 SSS For Sale (not mine)

Ive done it twice. My flat top air cleaner has a dimple where the nipple boss is. The early round top does not. So both used masters with the nipples outboard. A rare find around here. Maybe more common in rhd countries. The front unused nipple boss inboard had to be ground off on the round top. Bot...

Re: Wheels Wanted - 280ZX steel wheels (x5

I sent a 260z to the crushers years ago. Dont remember what the rims looked like. I did keep the spare and it has this rim. Maybe with some research you could open the range of donor vehicles. I now drive a zx with steelies and just picked up a set of nos hubcaps from eBay. They are growing on me.

Re: justins track car

Spent a few days working on quater Windows. They are a bit of a pain to take apart. But the glass is out and I think I can save all the rubber. The brackets for the latch are off to chrome and new latachs are ordered from Nissan. $175 all in for the 2 latachs. And $100 to chrome all 4 brackets. Ive ...

Re: 68 WIPER ARM NUTS??

Yes your missing the cap and nut. As well as the rubber gasket. Good luck with the hunt. I spent 5 years looking for an ashtray. I love the 68's but they are not easy to own.

Re: 68 WIPER ARM NUTS??

I don't have any parts for you but here is a picture to show you how the pivot comes thru the cowl. I also have a 411 and it has the same setup. A roaster might also be the same. When looking for 68 parts it's a good idea to check both cars for crossover parts.

I never noticed the regi says 000305, that might cause trouble someday. But will seem like small potatoes if I ever get that far.

Re: THE OLDEST 510

Well taking a vin pic was easy. But you made me look for registration. That is not going as well. I will keep digging. I believe the earliest is ownd by Dan (who owns Art's old car). In the 270 range. But I could be wrong. I would take a pic of the whole car buts it's not pretty. I could fix it as i...
