Tedman, thanks for the info. I do plan to upgrade to 15" wheels/tires which should help a little if I keep the 3:90 diff. My L20B has been worked on a little too. Head work to install new valve seats, guides, and larger intake valves. A pair of Weber 40DCOE carbs, intake manifold and head ports...

Mike, Sorry for a late reply. When I rebuilt the transmission, I counted the teeth on the gears. So it is a close ratio. Can't find the sheet with the numbers now. But if the 280zx had a 3:90 differential with a close ratio box, I'm guessing it did ok on the highway, but then again the engine had a ...

Should the differential be upgraded to a 4:11?
The 280ZX had a 3:90 differential, so....

My engine is an L20B with a WebCam 91 mild street cam and dual Weber 40DCOE. Soon to have a header and 2.25" exhaust.

Please advise.

Has anybody got a lead on the wiring diagram for the 1600 SSS model 510? Especially the SSS instruments.

And has anybody got a lead on a dash wiring loom for the SSS?

Thanks Byron. So if someone wanted to do this kind of mod, they would want the late control arms from a 280ZX (82-83). AND to add the crossmember mod to give adjustable camber and toe. Which "may" give you the adjustment needed to get an adequate toe/camber. BUT what about track width? Wou...

Has anyone tried to install 280ZX rear control arms onto a 510 crossmember? Will it work? If you go to coilover shocks it might, but what about track width and wheelbase, and half-shaft bolt up? The setup does give you rear disc brakes. Datsun 510 subframe with 280zx arms brand new calipers new pads...
