R180 240Z diff with Datsun LSD. $1800 cdn OBO.
For certain reasons I ran this stock 240 ratio in my 510 but found it wasn't compatible with the ratios in my gearbox and I ended up going to a different ratio with LSD.

Re: MG-A with Datsun 1800 needs to get FAST!
I don't know anything about this topic but here is an observation. If I'm not mistaken that motor you have is underhead cam and similar to what originally came in your car. The L series engine is much taller being overhead cam. Some basic measurements should be taken to see if there is sufficient cl...

Heinrich, I wanted to post a couple pictures for you but forgot.
These oil pans were manufactured for factory SR applications. Bottom of the pan being parallel to the ground Puts the valve cover canted about 5 degrees to the left side.

I don't have any feedback about the weather strip, but want to say well done on your metal work, seems like it never ends on these cars unless the are from a very dry climate. At the top of the page was discussion about engine angle which got me thinking that you might consider setting your engine a...

Re: Buying Subaru R180 diff, should I buy the axles
I elected to go with the integrated stubs and cv axles because I bought a sube sti lsd diff, AND because I had driveline vibration which I presumed was due to excessive lowering. I feel the cv axles did reduce vibration but only slightly, I've since discovered I have excessive play between the drive...

When I first read your post earlier today my immediate thought was what if a person were walking behind his truck?!!! It's an automatic reaction when backing up that if you hear a horn, you come to a halt because the presumption it the horn is directed at YOU. Was the driver of the truck old? Did he...

Re: CA18DET Deal or Dud
If there is no further damage besides it actually being seized and Pistons + side walls are undamaged, is it worth buying? And no I am not the seller Short answer is no, not worth buying. Long answer: If the pistons and bores remain in good condition yet the engine is seized, then it would be crank...

Re: Exhaust getting into car
Keith, I 'm hearing what you're saying, no leaks at all. I might have just slight leaks at two exhaust unions under the pan. I'll address these, and extend my tail pipe another couple inches.
Question for you, where does your crank case breather vent?

Exhaust getting into car
Do you folks have any issues with exhaust getting inside your car? My problem seems worse when the windows are down, but if they are up and I turn the fan on or have the vents open it seems to keep the exhaust out. Of course I get no natural AC when the windows are up. SR20DET and Vee band clamp tur...
