Re: '69 2-door Daily Fun Car

To add, Knipex makes pliers for these clamps, played with them at last years SEMA. Probably not worth it for a few clamps, but I like tools!

Re: The SSE (Super Sport Estate) Project

Yeah your winter is much different than this temperate zone. What model of TIG? The closest ski resort to us ( 20 minute drive) has 725" of snow this season. Crazy winter (Glad I have a snow blower) ! I purchased the HTP 221 with all the goodies (Made in Italy by Stel). Has pulse, frequency, sp...

If I remember right, I think that MSD makes a module/adapter for this, call them.

Re: The SSE (Super Sport Estate) Project

Nothing new on the SSE, just working on FJ and doing some machine work. I did get a new TIG welder though. Hopefully the weather will soon be getting better, I am sick of winter!

The Fiat colors defiantly have the 70's feel to them. Period correct as they would say.

Re: Narrowing rear control arms

I think there are 3 spacer lengths, If I was to do a new rear control arm, I would go with a late model bolt on wheel hub assy. that contains the wheel flange, bearings and mount as an assy. No more messing with preload spacers.

What did you pay for the 55, if you don't mind me asking? I have a 56 station wagon that was my Grandfather's, that been in storage for 50 years, that I am going to sell this summer.

Re: l20b eating bearings?

To add, I would pull the galley plugs and use rifle cleaning brushes through all the oil feed holes and the main galley, you might find some obstruction and will take one other thing off the list.

Re: Restoring a '69 510 4 door.

I played with those clamps at SEMA, very nicey made, pretty thick material, but the price, like you said high. If your making exhausts and headers for a living, their cheap. They showed them mostly for making headers, where you can remove the complete header for tigging (great idea). I like your copy!
