Son's Xmas present arrived- Chromium black XXR 522's, 15x8 w/ 0 offset. Nice wheel, nicer price.

Installed front and rear sway bars on the Wagon along with the track rod bushings. Also installing new rear bearings and seals once I press the new bearings on.

Terry,

I'll be curious to hear what your driving impressions are with the rear bar installed on the wagon. I went all out with one of my wagons up front with the stiffer springs, bigger brakes, 5 degrees of caster, EE T/C kit and 7/8 bar, but aside from blocks on the rear, I did nothing else, and so I'll be waiting for your test drive results on your ride.

Nice shop and hoist BTW :8

Byron... I'll have to wait till the spring to find out how it works. Its funny I drove it last summer with no sway bar in the front and it actually handled quite well with not too much lean. The car is at my brothers acerage in his "hobby" shop. Its nice because I have this Wagon stored there in covered storage and I just drive it in and load it on the hoist and do the work. Couldn't imaging installing the rear bar while it was sitting on the driveway while having to crawl under it.

I finished the wiring on the electric power steering setup and cleaned and re-organized the garage, still needs a little work on the garage though, but it helps to actually be able to park with ease in there....I was within inches of everything before I cleaned it up.....can't wait to go back to the house in washington!!!

What rear bar is that as I have the addco bar on my wagon but this one seems to mount a bit better than the addco.

Loaded the wagon with my bike and took it out for a drive around SF and then went biking and then took the wagon around with my buddies to get bike parts. Got a lot of compliments on the wagon

I just passed 20k miles on my SR/510 project. No real issues, just daily fun! Almost daily, it stays in the garage on the bad weather days. Recently I've been averaging around 29MPG on my commute.

700 miles ago I put this:

On this:

And put the assembly in my wagon.

L20b crank
Z20e (or is it s?) conn rods
Z22 block
Z24 pistons shaved to not exceed deck height
U67 head with oversized stainless valves, port work (which I should have taken a pic of), and a 490/290 cam with stiffer (can't remember the specs) valve springs
Arp head studs
Modified SU manifold to fit Zcar SU's (one of these days I'll take the carbs off and take a pic as this hasn't been done in the usual way to the best of my knowledge)

Provided I did the math right YEARS ago when I was first given this engine to assemble : ~2148cc @ ~10:1

It runs pretty good. It runs like an L20B with more grunt.

This weekend nothing happened on my 2 door. My wife however decided she wanted to start working on hers. So we dug it out of the pile where it was stored.

Finished my grill for the Wagon... polished and repainted. Repainted the headlight surrounds.
