What did you do on your 510 today?
Re: What did you do on your 510 today?
Finally spent the time and figured out the wiper wiring for a separate harness with park.. Deutch connectors and added an additional ground for the switch so not just relying on switch mounting.
I wont have any stock 510 wiring under hood so there was no way to plug integra motor in..

Pulled out the 70 2 door and drove her yesterday and pulled out the 72 Goon and 2 door at the building and ran them some. Did some tinkering with the Goon and she is running much better, gonna check the timing with a light tomorrow before it rains and gets cold.

Ran the 72 sedan and Goon the other day, got the Goon running better. Gotta get the exhaust looked at on the Goon.

Well went looking for some taillight harnesses and came across a box of some 510 books. Haynes and Clymer manuals and some nostalgia

Re: What did you do on your 510 today?
710 but drive train similar. Three summers ago we scrapped our company Chev cargo van so I swapped my old battery for a 2-3 year old NAPA unit. It was side terminal so I converted cables over from a Lumina? w/e and this past summer replaced the battery with a same new one. Was thinking of removing it for the winter and keeping indoors but it's recommended to put on the charger every month so why not just fire it up every month instead. Got my Windex bottle of gas and put 5 or 6 into each bike carb, pulled the fuel enrichment (choke?) out and fired right up and quit. It will start without the Windex squirts but takes a long long time. Repeat, and she fires and idles at 800 smoothly (always smooth) then begins the slow climb to 1,500 over 3 min. A/F in low high 11s climbing with the idle. Bike carbs are so much more different than the Hitachi down draft. Once warmed up, hit the choke in and idle drops to a dead smooth 800 and a/f low13s rise to low 15s. Rad is too hot to touch, all the dewiness on the valve cover and wires is gone. Close hood, shut engine off, lock door, check interior light is off, pull car cover over till next month.

I started it last weekend to make sure the battery was charged and to burn off the moisture build up from the coldish weather... Sadly havent driven it since october as I dread pulling the trans AGAIN...

Re: What did you do on your 510 today?
Installed my new Futofab bumper tonight. A bit tricky - when I installed the brackets, the bumper would not mount as the bolts on the bumper were not aligned. The holes on the brackets were wider than bolts on the bumper. It wasn't a large difference, but enough that it would not mount without modification. After I slightly bent the brackets inwards, the bumper would mount but showed a half inch gap on the driver's side fender and was pressed against the passenger side. After some additional shifting and several installations and removals, I feel pretty good with the result.

Well, not today, but I'm happy to report that all my side-markers, blinkers, and brake lights are working. All converted to LED. This sucker glows in the dark now!

Re: What did you do on your 510 today?
I am still waiting for the bodyshop to Start work on my car. 395 days and counting! I'm usually a chilled out dude, but I did throw my toys out the pram recently. I've given them until 5th Feb to start work on it or I'll be taking my car back. Extremely frustrating.
To keep the passion alive I made myself some 510 themed t-shirts

I also ordered myself a set of SSR MK2 wheels from Japan in November and put them on the cheapest and slowest shipping method, I'm sure I'll see those before I see my car.
