Post Pics Of Your RARE datsun Parts
Re: Post Pics Of Your RARE datsun Parts
Ok, so I realize that this thread has been geared to Rare Nissan produced parts for our 510’s.
What I found today was a complete surprise. With the boxes of stuff I received with the memorial car, I found a nicely machined rod used to prime the oil pump. Most of us who’ve built L motors, that we actually care about, likely have a similar tool. I’ve personally made at least a half dozen of them for people I know out of de-geared oil pump/distributor shafts with an extension welded on the end to drive to pump.
So when I pulled this item out of the box, I instantly knew its function. Then I looked at a small letter stamp on flat ground section and my jaw nearly hit the floor.
So, my question is – have any of you actually ever seen this part listed for sale back in the day? And of those few out there who were hot rodding 510’s in their heyday – did you ever buy such an item?

It's funny what doesn't seem like it would be rare, until you really need one. Mine fell apart an I was able to find this one after some heavy searching and some good luck. This is wiper/washer switch part # 25260-A4600. I believe this part is for cars from mid '69 onward.

Not mine, but I'm wondering if somebody on the Realm bought these. Very rare find I would think, and I would love to have them!
At least now we have a part number.

69 coin tray.
Re: Post Pics Of Your RARE datsun Parts
I was digging through the boxes that came with my project and these 2 items stood out as being rare/unique. I have a cool aftermarket set of Datsun mudflaps still in their packaging and I have a brand new Kanto-Seiki washer bottle with pump motor intact.

Ive been trying to find this in real life but have yet to see itokayfine wrote:I have a '69 JDM brochure and it shows something I haven't seen before. No, not the ashtray
Don't know if it is A/C and the picture is too fuzzy, even in the brochure, to read. Looks like is says "COOL" "WARM" "OFF" and "A/C", but I can't even tell for sure.
