Re: New Hot Wheeels coming out ... AGAIN
I lucked out on a #32 red the other day ( Zellers), right at the front of the rows of cars...like it had my name on it.

Thanks for posting the good picture, being able to see the number makes searching through the rows much easier, when you can see that.
I should just phone security at Zellers, let them know I am coming, so they won't think it is a lurker in the toy section.....
I got another of the BRE 510's......

I'll be damned. Must be the second season... You never see it much, even on tribute cars.BillF wrote:http://www.bre2.net/mm5/merchant.mvc?Sc ... photos510srnorrish wrote:Wheels? Pfft.... Morton's name was never on the roof.

Just the opposite. Like the description says on the BRE site, this was at the #46 car's intro in '71. The big change later in the series was the Simoniz sponsorship -- another detail not on the HW 46.
The TrueScale single car also is the early one; the one in the 3-car set is from the Simoniz era:

Thanks for the insight on the "71" year and the Simoniz era, never noticed Morton on the roof before.

To be more specific, the '71-season car has Morton's name on the roof and for '72 they moved it and picked up Simoniz. Seemed likely but I had to double check.

no, you are right, they are terrible for the 510. why couldn't they put something a little smaller and silver or black....why gold?? gold and silver don't mix!!

Re: New Hot Wheeels coming out ... AGAIN
Got this one today at a K-mart, they were in the process of opening the boxes and I went through about 1000 HW's it seemed, I didn't find any T-hunts....or secret T-hunts....those are really hard to get I guess....I think someone at the factory pulls them and sells them on Ebay.....how else can they get these so early. This car has been on ebay for a few weeks, it's just now finding the shelves in the big stores around here.
