Datsu parts are Pricey!

Post by Boaty »

Ok, I've gone and got a compiled price list of -some- of the items I plan to get in the near future. All the prices below relect my local SCHUCK's AUTOPARTS.

Bear with me!

1.) Rear Brake Shoe -................... $19.99 (wholesale: $18.99)
2.) Rear Wheel Cylinder - ..............$32.99 (wholesale: $31.34)
3.) Aluminum Brake Drum (240Z) - $74.99 (wholesale: $47.49)
4.) Front Brake Rotor - ..................$28.99 (wholesale: $27.54)
5.) Front Brake Caliper -................$33.99 (wholesale: $32.29)
6.) Front Brake Pads -................... $18.99 (wholesale: $18.04)

I wasn't really impressed with those prices. A wheel cylinder... thirty-three bucks man! That's outrageous! I just replaced the ones on my brother's minivan, and that only cost $6.00 each!!!

Keep in mind that the prices are for the CHEAPEST I can get for the car.
I can get a heavy-duty universal joint for the half-shafts in the rear, and the driveshaft, each about $20.00 US. Rediculous!

Tomorrow, I am going to get a price on those items at AutoZone, and Napa, and compare. I'll post a follow-up, here. ;)

I take it you're referrin' to the aluminum drums? I can get two for $40.00 american, with under 1000 miles on each of them. I can't come up with $40 for them.

ALSO! I just got a call from a guy that found out I had a 510, and offered to sell me his L20B, RUNNING, With new header, and a SX dogleg 5-speed, driveshaft, and all the goodies, for $150 USD.

Needless to say, I'm working my ass off trying to get it!!!!!
