FutoFab Introduces Steel 510 Body Parts

Given the recent uptick in Datsun 510 interest (like the “Leno” video and recent article in Sport Car Market) this is the right time to announce that FutoFab will start stocking reproduction steel Datsun 510 body panels this Fall.

I will be traveling to Taiwan to meet with the manufacturer in person the end of next week. Currently in production are tail light panels, which will be our first stocking part. These will be on hand in 8-10 weeks. Prototyping is complete on rocker panels, front fenders & hoods. These will be coming next.

• Chrome plated steel front bumpers, one piece beam (68-73) - $360/ea
• Front fenders with JDM/AU marker openings (68-73) - $325/ea

I like the photo of the new fender against the old "model" if this is what we are looking at…

Come to think of it, are those the new parts leaning against the presses? Or are these the examples? I got really excited when I see the front fenders with the early style holes.

If the fender light holes are an option Dave, - early, late or not at all - leave them out entirely. It would be up to the new owner to cut the holes. A paper sheet delivered with the fender could lay out the marker light hole location... just a thought.

Certainly do keep us posted. Let's hope that the need for these parts can bring the price down to a reasonable level.

Bumpers are one piece.

I had given the idea of only selling fenders w/o openings and letting the buyer add the ones he wanted. I like the template idea.
