New potential products for 510's and Datsun from Mattndew76

Post by Mattndew76 »

Guaging product interest. I have two items I want to swing by the crowd to test the interest.

The picture is of a Subaru cusco third member oil cover. The other is for a battery tray. I would be making similar items with visable datsun or 510 monikers.

I may be interested in a battery tray if the price works.

I would be in for one then. Just let me know when you have one designed that I can see and we will work it out.

I would probably buy one of the diff covers.... it would be a little overkill for me.... but it looks killer.....

"Over the top functional Bling" hehehehehe!!! That's classis Matt. My functional Bling is from Perrin that I got a great "Discount Sale" deal on. Is it functional? Oh ya, Bling? Oh Ya, But still unnerved on guys checking out my rear end.

I like how both the Cusco and Perin different covers increase the capacity, but the Perin cover takes better advantage of utilizing the surface area to assist in cooling making it a much better design in my eyes. Maybe something to consider Matt.

Would you be planning on making R180 covers?

I am going to be doing extra cap covers for R160 and R180. I want to utilize more cooling fins than the Cusco shown.

I may be in for a diff cover as well, R180 please. Are those extra fittings pictured for a pump/cooler? Hmmm, interesting.

On the Cusco image they have the extra bungs for a remote cooler. I will also keep that feature.

I'm guessing at this point but price should not accede the $300.00 level. If a Perin cast finned covers can be had for 295$ I don't see why I couldn't produce for comparable price or less. Once I have my solid model completed I can give a more defined price for you guys.

Can you design it with a bung or plug on the bottom so as to make it a easier fluid drain?

So drain plug access is best where? All opinions and reasoning welcome. So far I just planned on putting the drainage on the face at the lowest point possible, but underside sounds like you can't get much better ;)
