I'm super stoked!!

So I think I found the color. It's "Twilight Purple". Paint code is from a Geo Metro :w00t: They also use it on Rolls Royce and BMW's. It casts a good shadow on the body lines and has some nice pearl. Should add a level of sassiness and honestly I would bet $100 it's the same exact paint color my old 510 was before it sun faded.
It might be a little darker and more sass

Wow!! That looks great!

Thanks for not choosing midnight purple like nearly every Nissan Skyline owner.

Josh,
My sister had a Geo Tracker the same color.

She named it "Barnie", just saying  .

Honestly I like the color. My 2nd car was a '61 VW bug that we painted the early Dodge Challenger color "Plum Crazy", just a shade or 2 lighter.

I wanted it to be a little "loud". After all this car has been through it deserves to be obnoxious...

Josh, I know the colour game as well. The Bronze too has been a special car from new and I felt the same - it needed to stand out. If you ever read my build thread, I was horribly disappointed when paint day came. I had time booked off work, the car in the booth I had made and ordered the paint 3 weeks earlier. The day I go to pick up the Volcanic Orange Nissan colour I had painstakingly chosen a year earlier - it wasn't available because the tint could only be mixed (at that time) at one specific place back east. And the paint shop never let me know until that day - paint day! On the spot I picked another colour that they could mix right there, right now, and it wasn't for a few years that I truly accepted the Q45 colour that I choice with limited recourses available that day.

Today, some 15 years later, I don't second guess it at all, and almost think it was meant to be. The colour grew on me and I'm glad it is what it is - now that the 2000's cars that were all painted similar hues are finally starting to go away! I love crazy paint, and my fathers jade green very customized 53 Ford is awesome that way - with huge metal flake!

Can't wait to see the end result on your car.

Originally it was going to be Jeep Anvil which is what the engine bay is currently painted with. I never intended for the car to be this nice or built out. After seeing how well it came together that changed my mind. Especially with the addition of the roll cage.

One of the major reasons I went towards purple was I owned a purple 510 in my early 20's. Part of that car is on this one (rockers, quarter, trunk lid, part of the trunk floor...). Actually the quarter I used above for the spray out was from this car

Here's a pic of it:

I booked the paint booth for next weekend.... Also I'm having some custom wheels built for it...

Well it looks like she won't see the paint booth this weekend. My buddy that's helping with the finish body work is super detailed and we're making the body way nicer than I ever imagined. It's worth the wait!

All VW Golf front fender flares. I placed these like described below. Rears are front fenders flipped sides.

MK2 on front left (Front left stock)
MK2 on front right (Front right stock)
Mk1 on rear left (Front right stock)
MK1 on rear right (Front left stock)

Those flares are extremely cool. The exact shape I have always fantasized about.

Looks great! That colour came out beautifully.
