For you guys that knew Randy, he passed a way from his battle with cancer. He was a fixture at Shasta for many years. God speed, Randy.

Re: RIP Randy York
was he a member on here?
Re: RIP Randy York
I only met him when I bought a door from him long ago - but he was a super cool guy.
Finished is better than perfect......

In addition to Shasta, Randy was also a fixture in Southern California Datsuns, specifically UFO SoCal. Randy was one of the founding editors/writers for The Dime, Quarterly, and continued as its financial officer for the entire run. Randy was also the only person to get a KA510 swap legal through CARB - no small feat. Why? Just to prove it could be done.
Randy's enthusiasm is what got me interested in fun runs, and also got me to drive to Deer Creek for 510 events back in the day. "C'mon, what else are you going to do today?!"

Because when you spend a silly amount of money on a silly, trivial thing that will help you not one jot, you are demonstrating that you have a soul and a heart and that you are the sort of person who has no time for Which? magazine. – Jeremy Clarkson
