This car was done many, many years ago. Brian did a great job on it. I remember fist seeing these photos in a UFO Reports back in the 80's, and it was many years later before I got to see a nice colour shot.

What I find the most interesting is the amount of effort that went into removing the body lines. That would have been an incredible amount of work. Then the removal of the drip rails, the C pillar vents and all the lights removed. There are no holes in this car - amazing work. At the time those wheels were hug on a 510, and those low profile tires must have cost a fortune in the day. Today this is normal.

If I recall, it's rotary powered, yes?

So, where is this car today? That's an interesting question. Did it survive the times?

I think that it is in the Northeast from what I remember, it was shown around the show car circuit for a while after it was purchased from Brian, but who knows where it is now. It was differently ahead of it's time. One of the 510's (BRE style) at SEMA this year, made it's way back from the old UFO days, had a nice chat with the owner. He pulled out a old album with the picture that he sent in, that brought back memories. So maybe will see Brian's car return with all the recent popularity in Japanese cars.

Last I saw, it was at a few car shows in New Zealand ... and before that it was in the October 2009 issue of NZ Performance car:
