Updated serial number list:

Postby bertvorgon » 20 Jun 2017 15:30

As we have two new members to our site, here is an updated list. Byron's thread is slowly getting kinda buried on the site, we should "sticky" one of these. I'm sure Balatch will get back with his production date. I wonder if Carrman is still on here as his tag seems a bit of an anomaly.

Bert - there were two entries there that we not on my first post in the thread - now updated.

Thanks for keeping on top of this.

I'd still like to see the oldest 510 revived, as I just posted car# 440 there a could weeks ago. It's be good to have both lists continue to be compiled.

Not sure what the 194, 095 ect represent.

But the WPL8XXXXX was the numbers started for all wagons.

See the list here in the oldest 510 thread =>http://the510realm.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=14624

Also Robyn, 6 inches can't be a 68 - there are no opposing wipers. You say it's Canadian but it's a 2dr.......we didn't get them. It's got larger front markers, late fuse box, collapsible column, square marker light holes which could all be added/modified.....sure it's not a 69 or later - likely '70 or later?

my bad 6 inches is a 69 with 70+ fenders, valance, dash, column, wires, and knuckles

in the haynes manual under "introduction to the Datsun" it lists model # ...ex : 091 2dr manual, 092 2dr automatic, 094 4dr manual... floor pan differs between automatic cars and standard cars. an auto pan has a larger tunnel and the captured trans mount nuts are farther back than a 4spd pan. manual floor pan has way more foot room because of the smaller tunnel.......

Here's one more...
349543 12 1971
...and I'm trying to establish prod. date on this one:
342452
Pretty sure it would have been 11/71 or 12/71 but car came to me without the door tag. I have a repro tag to stamp but need to verify the date!
