your more likely to get hits if you pay for the inspection and do the paperwork.

ya if thats the market your trying to capture. people hate dealing with ICBC, funny papers and the looming inspection will put off many.

I can recommend a shop or two that's right for inspections. if you need help sorting the car for inspection let me know.

Yeah, I'd appreciate that. I know Canadian Tire has a reputation for trying to find a "repair" that they need to make.

If you have yet to do the Federal inspection from bringing it across the line, Canadian Tire is the only one that does Federal inspections. Get them to do both Federal and provincial inspection at the same time. That way it is more appealing to perspective buyers.

Keep in mind that CT are the only national chain that does auto repairs so it is a no-brainer for the Feds to push it off to CT.

As far as I can remember I have not ever had to do a federal inspection for any car that I have imported from the States that is older
than 15 years. A Provincial only required. I also have had pretty good experiences with CT on checking things in detail. If it requires to be repaired
then likely it needs to be. Watch out for holes in exhaust pipes, brakes, crappy old tires, dead bulbs and window tint in the front windows are definitely a no no. On my E30 M3 they found a damaged brake sensor wire which they offered to repair for $60 when a reinspection down the road would of been around $135.00 .
