Hey, everyone
There's a 69 4d for sale that's got LEAF SPRING rear end. It also has a 1.3L in it. I guess it was originally built for a non US market. I want to try my hand at auto crossing. Can these be converted to IRS or should I hold out?
Thanx!

Re: 69 Mexico built??
Yup - sounds like it was built in Mexico. You can tell by the VIN#. I have a Mexican built '69 4 door and the VIN# starts with 9L510UTX.....
There were no IRS 510's or 2-doors built for this market - only the 4 door sedans and wagons with leaf rear springs. Almost all had the push rod "A" series engines (1.3 & 1.5 ltr.). Cannot be converted to IRS.
