Folks, I’m about to make my first ever purchase from Rock Auto and I’m curious if there have been any surprises from shipping into Canada, like Rock using UPS where UPS then extorts a brokerage fee.
Any insight?
Jim

Hey Jim,
Tracey got me some headlight assemblies from Rock Auto for my sons Tracker and there was no mention of any issues.
Did you see my question on the Turbo kit in that thread by Mike?

Re: Rock Auto Shipping to Canada Cost?
I buy pretty much everything from Rockauto because I'm too lazy to go to the autoparts store. Duties are always included in the price and prepaid. I've never had any issues or surprises so far in 10 years. I always pick the cheapest shipping and it usually arrives within 2 to 3 days, except this time because of the Canada post strikes...

I’ve ordered a lot of stuff from these guys and never had a bad experience. In the last couple years I’ve found the shipping costs so good to my door that I don’t even bother doing the stateside pickup thing. Just not worth the time and hassle for amount saved.

Thanks guys, that’s settles my anxiety and I’ll proceed.

I Rock RockAuto all the time. No surprises, no hidden fees. And faster than ever. I usually get stuff in 2-3 days now. Choose the second least expensive option, which is Fedex. It's just a tiny bit more than the cheap option and much faster. I know my delivery guy by his first name already.
