FS: 1979 Datsun 510 Wagon

I’ve owned this car for about 8 years and its been in the family for about 2 decades. I have been fighting selling it cause I know I’m going to regret it. However, I have been trying to finish my race car for far to long. I need funds to finish this project and my priorities have to be on that. So, the Datsun must go.

The car is a 1970 Datsun 510 wagon. The chassis has no rust and has never been hit. In other words, its as straight as they come and has never seen body filler. Mileage is anybody’s guess since the odometer has not worked since I’ve seen it. It says 23,032. But, who knows.

I swapped in a KA24E 5 speed in it a few years ago. The engine has approximately 120k on it. I did a timing chain, tensioner, oil pump, fuel pump(MSD high flow) and all new seals. This engine doesn’t ‘tick’ like most KA’s do. New Howe racing 2 ½” core radiator. Custom (retro) oil cooler and remote location oil filter kit. Its rides on modified 280z front suspension (see cut springs), and adjustable Techno Toy Tuning tension rods. Lowering blocks and spring relocation in the back. Both front and rear have Quickor sway bars (awesome pieces). Brakes are Brembo stock rotors and drums (less than 5k on them) New Barings and races too. The wheels are SportMax 002’s 15 x 8 with a 0 offset with Kumho 195 50’s stretched on with more than 80% treadlife. Nismo 4 point harness inside. Grant steering wheel. Hurst shifter (original). The interior is all there and could use a little love, carpet and door panels are ok, front seats trashed, back fold down bench is in excellent shape, perfect headliner.

I sold the car a while ago to a kid that thought it would be cool to Krylon the outside flat black. I bought it back a little pissed cause the original yellow was still in good shape.

Any questions, please ask.

Im asking $5000.00 OBO.

Because when you spend a silly amount of money on a silly, trivial thing that will help you not one jot, you are demonstrating that you have a soul and a heart and that you are the sort of person who has no time for Which? magazine. – Jeremy Clarkson
