Wtb roll bar or light cage in BC

Post by merlin » 15 Feb 2011 23:07

For my 68 4 door. Would prefer a basic hoop bar with rear bracing. Hopefully something I can get in there without cutting .

You should talk to Jim (at overseas) about ordering in an autopower bolt-in. They are nice pieces if you can get the shipping at a decent rate.

yah, i just looked at Autopower online.. their "race bar" vs race cage is what i want. I'm too big to be crawling over door bars lol. just want rollover protection and an anchor point for my belts.

I spoke to Jim at Overseas about 5 months ago about ordering the basic 4 point bar. He wanted $426.00 for the bar, $175.00 for shipping to his location then an additional $100.00 to ship to me!!! that is $701.00 PLUS tax. He would not even have it drop shipped to me to save money. I decided that I don't need one that bad.

Terry, I got a hard dog bar including shipping (all in) for the track miata from Georgia for slightly more than $200 savings vs Overseas. WTF?! Drop shipping sure would help his business.

Merlin,

Drop me a line. I can do much better as far as fit goes right here for you for that price. And I'll use better material (DOM) than the usual ERW that is most often used. Best of all, it's done locally.

Sure Byron,
I guess a basic bar from you would be in my budget. I kept thinking about your full cage set up s and the price that you charge for them, which is not in my budget, that's why I didn't just email you. Apples and oranges.
Do you need my car to make the bar, o r can you just make one. It's for my 68 4 door

As I won't have shell to work from after this weekend, I'd need to have the car. We can talk about exectly what you want. That's the beauty of having one made for you, it can be any way you like it.

Drop me a line on my home email, we can chat.
