WTS - 1971 Datsun 510 Daily Driver - 2500$

I am looking to sell my beloved Datsun 510, as I will be moving and will be unable to store/maintain a second car. I have owned this car for almost a 8 months and have used it as my only car for the entire time. It's an mustard yellow 4 door 510 that was previously automatic, but was converted to 4speed by the previous owner. It is a super low K/M car with only 28 700mi on the odometer.



The interior is fantastic for it's age, with black seats showing only one little tear. The dash is in impeccable shape, with everything intact including the stereo block off plate that has never been removed or modified. I through a set of mesh wheels with decent all season tires on. The only mechanical issue I have had was a dirty carburetor that was clogged up. I grabbed a back up that I rebuilt, through it on and it hasn't troubled me since.

This isn't to say there aren't faults with the car. There have been a couple dings and nicks over the years, and there is rust on the rocker panel, but nothing atrocious or uncommon for a 40 year old car. The clutch is also on it's way out. It drives but one can force the clutch to slip quite easily. I intend to track down another one and install it, though my price will increase accordingly. its a great car, i owned it last year for about 6 months. it runs like a top and is a great candidate for a resto. i did the 4spd swap and unfortunately i put in a used clutch instead of waiting for lordco to get one in as i was daily driving it. on another note this car is priced extremely well for what you are getting, i paid and sold it for a few more bucks than the asking price and i fixed lots of small things. good luck with your sale its a gem. tyson

Thanks Tyson. The car really is in great shape. I wish I had the space to keep it through the winter. Also comes with a couple boxes of random Datsun goodies! Including 2 stock radios, almost every gasket a carb rebuild kit, some trim, random fuel parts, electrical parts and more!
