Not Mine: S15 SR20DE Autech w/ 6 speed [BC]

Post by JordanTr »

Not mine. see: http://bcrwd.com/index.php?showtopic=20927
Feeler for the full setup including harness and ecu, clutch and flywheel. This is a rare setup that would be amazing in a 510, motor is 11:7:1 compression stock making 200 hp at the crank n/a. Google more to find out about it. Looking to possibly to a new power plant and drift my s15. Pm me to discuss. 63k km

He is asking $4000cdn. For package including driveshaft.a little rich for me. But a 6spd would be nice.

6-speed trans is really the only thing that got me day dreaming. From what I read, the only real difference with the Autotech sr is cams and pistons. 4k is a lot for a 6-speed, cams, and pistons. Still cool though.

3200 usd if that makes you feel better. It's not that bad of a value when you consider its a well tuned, reliable, turn key 200 hp with 40k miles. Likely the cheapest easy to swap 200hp NA 4 cyl Nissan setup money can buy.

ECU, header, it's had some work to it done by hand, an S15 will be as new an OE engine as you can get, etc. You can stick the 6-speed at the back of any SR, but the Autech also comes with that. If you like SR20DET power but want N/A SR, this is your engine.

Header doesn't fit LHD 510s, though.

Pulled this from an Aussie site on identification of this motor.
Aside from the 6 spd, these would be pretty hard to identify - but these items should make it more clear;

"Things to identify an AUTECH N/A engine from the outside of the engine:

Metallic red rocker cover with VCT notch front.
FGK stainless steel headers.
4 ignition lead distributor.
ECU part number"

BTW - that ECU part number may be: 23710 1A101 PK

This is all Googled info - it's on the internet so it much be right....

Hope it helps anyways.

Pulled this photo off of Speed Hunters.

This car looked great - but I don’t think this nice semi factory header will work on our 510's... without a steering box replacement.

197 N/A HP would make a good package though.

The article says it sounds great - I'm sure it does. However the IR VVT likely would sound the best. There's a blue 510 one the realm with this set up, makes roughly the same HP.

Ted Hedman runs this combo in his car. We have run many rallies with this setup and it is a well balanced combo for running throught the canyons. He did have to modify the header to fit the LHD car. Great powerband up to 7500 RPM redline. Need to use octane booster with premium fuel to keep the engine happy.

Octane boosters or high octane fuel because those engines run 11:1 compression. You could get the S14 with 165 stock hp, change cams build a nice header and free flow exhaust and be floating in the 185/190hp range and not have to run octane boosters or additives. The big plus is the S14 complete will run about $1100. I paid $1050 5 year ago for mine delivered and since installed Poncams, free flow exhaust and Fidanza 10lb aluminum flywheel and it run pretty nice and gets 32mpg highway. But yah those Autech motors are really nice.
