I searched for one last year. It was very difficult to find if you want the actual 68 motor. I eventually found one (that worked), but it took some time. I believe if you search others offered me some alternatives that could be fitted to work if you don't mind it not being 100% original.

Best of luck.

armature and magnets are the same between the years the only difference on the 68 is the arm and how its attached to the shaft. if you have a 68 motor you can drill off the arm and attach it to any other year motor. there are a few other application motors that have the same amount of pins and a shaft that will accommodate the 68 arm.

thanks man, i'll keep looking. There was one on Ebay some time ago, should've bought it. My car never came with the 68 motor, just the linkage and wipers. Its already tight enough as it is to get in that 68 motor with the sr20det swap...

Many years ago I put a 620 wiper motor in one of my 68's - worked great as the 620 motor was a stronger motor and ran faster.

I actually did this modification to two different 68's I had. I do remember there being a difference in the connection at the motor to the wiper arm. One car was a bolt on, the other was riveted.
As the 620's were all bolt on, converting to the 620 was no problem. What I don't remember is whether I filed out the flats inside the 510 wipe arm on the riveted connection.

Either way I know I was young and the upgrade didn't take long so it must have been fairly simple.

yup a 620 wiper motor will work no filing needed, just as many others..... but to work on a 68 you still need the plate that spans the cowl that the wiper motor mounts to and the stock 68 twin pivot arm. this 620 arm will not work:Imageshafts are the same but the 68 has no threads and is riveted Image

nice you have the wiper arms I had to make a right Image
69+ has two lefts 68 has a right and a left

roadsters may have the same twin pivot arm needed for the 68 wiper linkage as they share linkage and pivots
if you really really need I can unbolt my motor so you can see the arm im referring to

Can someone let me know what wires to test to make sure my wiper motor works? I don't want to fry it... thanks!
