If it's not going to be a show car, an abs dash cap for under $100 for a '68 works fine for a '69 if you don't mind the slight dip in the center. Google 1968 dash cap to see several vendors.
Smooth down the ridges in the OEM cracked cap, smear on the adhesive, drop on the abs cap and weigh down overnight and you're done. Been there, done that. Was fine for > 15 yrs.
(Or pull your dash and recover the OEM dash yourself with the material of your choice, thin upholstery foam and spray adhesive).

I've done this for a '69 pad and also for a late-dash pad. Both turned out well; I imagine I could do a better job now, but it sure hits the price point.

I did exactly this on my other pad in `97 and recently "Last Year" installed a 9 of 10 OEM dash pad I tried to sell but everyone thought it was over priced no big deal I didn't need the money so I installed it.

Just Dashes $650-$1250
http://www.justdashes.com/
I was excited that maybe Just Dashes was now making a '69 pad. Looks like they still don't. Not only that, I don't get their new website. Also, why would they make a '68 but not a '69 pad?
I feel very blessed that a fellow "Realmer" sold me a very nice '69 pad for a reasonable price last year.

The 69 is different to the rest of them.
