WTB: Steering Box Plug

Post by PoorMtnKid »

Just like the subject says, I need the plastic plug for the steering box . Any known replacements for this?

Thanks

If no one from the future comes back to stop you from doing it then how bad of a decision can it really be?

Exactly what I was going to suggest. I've had one of those for about 12 years now and it sure pistol whips the plastic POS.

Just toss the box and install a rack.

I tried to order 3/8 BSPT male breather vent (#9847K1) from McMaster-Carr online but they cancelled it saying they don't ship to Canada.

I could have it shipped to US and P/U with other Datsun parts I typically fetch every 2-3 months, but for something that small it would have been nice to get it directly, install, and forget.

The McMaster no ship to canada is BS. I've been parts from them for the past year. They used to have that policy a long time ago. At least I hope like hell they haven't changed back.....

Make sure setup an on-line account with them, and it should be fine.

Sam and I will be there for Sema! Not sure I will be able to just know from looking at it though :)
