WTB:240sx ('89 & '90) front sump oil pan & pickup tube

Post by DADZSUN »

Please let me know if you have any available.

This is for the single overhead cam engine KA24e only. I believe the DOHC block runs a different pan/pickup.

Thanks!

The 1st KA 12V engine I got about 20 years ago, was a rear sump engine out of a truck. The rear of that pan was hacked for steering linkage clearance. I knew a service manager at a Datsun dealer and he got a front sump pan and pickup for me from the dealer, all for about $100, 20 years ago.

That's my exact setup right now. Hacked up rear-sump p/u pan. Works perfect.

However, I'm planning to do R&P conversion and if I can't make it fit in that small space where the steering linkage goes, then I'll swap to front sump to get the job done.

I'll trade you a front sump pan and pickup for a rear sump pan and pickup. I'm working on a KA swap in a truck for my daughter and we have a car front sump engine. This could work out perfect!

I'll want to keep the one I have on my 510 now as it's flared to a shallower sump for ground clearance.

But I do happen to have a spare unaltered KA truck rear sump pan and pickup tube that should work out perfect for you.

I'll pull it off the block this wknd and PM you pics.

Sounds great. My KA pan is on the engine but I can pull it this weekend if you are serious about trading.
