Label is wrong. If it's an '81, then it's an FS5W71B. The earliest use of an FS5W71C was the '84 300zx non turbo and the C was never used in the 720. The B or C is the style of shifter that was used. Definitely made after '79.

You are no doubt right Mike, lol. I probably just spaced when writing the label.

The B is a great transmission and the later made the better as it did get some upgrades. It was used with 280zx non turbo so roughly 180 hp at the crank. The C would handle twice this safely.
