WTB: L18 block shipped to Texas,

Post by Hakosuka510 »

In search of an L18 block, unmolested, minor decking acceptable but would prefer stock height (though I don't really care about the condition of the deck surface). No stripped holes, broken casting, grinding on the inside to clear larger stroke cranks, et cetera. Must have original main caps. Doesn't have to be stock bore. Would prefer a W-casting block but will take either. Must be willing to secure to a pallet and ship. I know this is asking a lot but I'm having trouble finding any locally.

i am moving to san antonio later this year, and bringing my 510 and whatever other cars i have at that point. I have an L18, but i am not selling it... I may be able to source one up here for you and bring it down in my trailer if you havent found one yet. What is your budget, and are there any other 510/datsun things you're looking for? All of the datsuns are up here in pnw....

I know a guy in AZ that has a stock L18 short block all internals complete. How much are you wanting to spend?

I have a JDM L18 engine (imported around 1979) that I don't plan on using. I can remove the A87 head and ship the short block. Let me know if you want to explore further.
