I originally bought this cover from Matt, a member on these forums. The plan was actually to use it on a R160 diff inside of a 2015 WRX. The project was to pull the open diff pumpkin, and dropping in a clutch lsd, then using the diff cover. Long story short, it took almost 2 years for me to get this buttoned up. When I finally did and tried to install the diff, I realized the fins were cut too long and interfered with the crossmember. I thought about machining the fins down (see the sharpie marks), however I realized that to clear the crossmember I'd need to machine too much fin material and it would open a hole into the recessed cavity inside the cover. Booo, a easy fix if I knew before ordering the cover.
In any case, I'm returning to the forum to sell this cover to a 510 owner. The studs have been installed as well as the vent tube. Note there are nicks around the vent tube from me installing a new vent design found on the 2015 WRX R160 diff. The vent didn't sit all the way down, and I had to pry it back out and lathe it down to fit. There are also nicks around the cover, just from general handling. Otherwise the cover has never been installed on the car. The diff was final assembled, so the cover is known to fit the R160 100%.
