In the US the '80-'81 A10 (HL510) the '80-'81 S10 (2nd gen 200sx) and the '83-'86.5 720 with the Mileage option Z20 engine, all have the 152.5mm (6") rods in them. The part number is 12100-N8500

Mike - you're a wealth of knowledge sometimes...

I had no idea Z20's were in any 720 PU's.
Here in the Great White North, we saw only NapsZ 2.2's Up to MY '82) and 2.4's for the rest of the 720's with exception of the first 6 months of 1980 were the 720's delivered here had L20B's in both 2WD and 4WD trucks.

Thank you very much! I thought the rods were only able to be sourced outside the US. I'll be watching out for those cars

Byron I doubt the Mileage option was available here. I have a feeling it was a Federal only package in the States. I've never seen one up here. I parted an '80 L20B 4x4 years ago.

I have had 2 S110s (an '80 and an '81) that I parted out. Sold one set of rods into the States and Jason Wong took the others away with the flattop pistons on them... were they for you? It was a long time ago. Both Z20E engines had 4 plug EI distributors.

The Canadian '80 A10 was still the L20B. We didn't get the Z20 in the A10 until '81.

trivia:
The L20B and the early Z22 used the same rods

Hi Mike,

It was me that you sold the 6”- 152.5mm rods to - that bottom end with a Z24 crank machined down to fit in a Z22S block with the Z20E rods was assembled for sizing, and just didn’t get finished. It may this winter, but that’s a whole other story.

Just to clarify, the L20B rods are the same as the Z22S blocks rods that came in the 720’s, but the Z22E blocks that came in the 200SX and later A10s had the same stroke, but a longer rods with the piston pin a little higher up in the piston. The heads/block interface was also different on the Z22E blocks in that the water passages were in a different orientation around the cylinders. And of coise both differeed in water passages to the L motors, but can be easily altered with a hand drill and some simply layout.

Anyways, we totally took this thread sideways as we are so often guilty of - I hope the OP found his set of rods....
