Dual Intake Manifold

Post by ohenry »

Hi,

Looking for a dual intake manifold for L16/L18/L20b engine. Linkage would be a nice plus but let me know what you have. Local would be prefered (Vancouver BC) but willing to pay for shipping for something nice.

Thanks,

- Henry

Hijacking my own thread for a little bit.

I have a line on two Cannon intake manifolds, a straight one and a curved one. What are the pros and cons of them? I tried the good old "search" but nothing prevalent came up.

I was thinking of going for the curved one for the added clearance it would provide. I don't currently have a brake booster in place but have read that having the curved on will really help me out if I go that route.

Are there any major gains going with the straight intake vs the curved intake?

Thanks,

- Henry

Yea that’s mostly it. If you don’t mind me asking how much are you getting them for? If possible I’d like to buy which ever one you don’t buy lol. I need one too for a set of 40s

The curved Cannon manifold was originally intended for a 620 with an L20B and a power brake booster. It was designed more for clearance, less for performance.

Wow, that's a tight fit. Thanks for the info and the photo.

I'm guessing any performance losses with the curved intake would be minuscule. Sounds like that the one I'll go with.

Thanks again,

- Henry

I've seen the curved one crack. Most likely due to the weight of the carbs. If you use it consider making a brace.
