FS: Rebuilt Mikuni 44's on Mikuni short manifold $2000

Post by anguso » 18 Jan 2019 09:00

These carbs were rebuilt and set up in July 2018 by Dave Premo, and were briefly installed on my 510.They worked flawlessly with my LZ22 engine.
A couple of months after I finished the engine build, Dave called me to let me know that he'd found me a pair of Nismo 44's on an original Datsun Comp manifold - so I bought them and removed this setup.

The carbs were completely rebuilt with new gaskets, needles/seats, fasteners where needed etc. Also installed are the reproduction isolators that Dave sells.
There is evidence of a previous owner's welded repair of a cracked mounting flange on one of the carbs; Dave gave the repair his blessing - the weld is a bit ugly, but the flange is straight and otherwise perfectly fine.
The carbs were set up to run a Lokar throttle cable; with a 3' cable I was able to achieve a nice gentle bend up and over the ITG filter (included with the carbs). The cable isn't included with the sale of the carbs, but it's easily sourced from Summit.

The jetting of these carbs is as follows:

Main Air: 240
Main Jet: 120
Pilot Jet: 52.5
Outer Venturi: 37
Pump Nozzle: 45

All in, this setup cost me $2300.
For $2000, I'll ship them anywhere in the USA. (Or pickup in the NYC area)
I've never shipped anything up to BC, or anywhere else in Canada, for that matter, so I'm open to advice on the best way to do it if necessary.

Cheers,
Angus

to Canada the best way is regular snail mail. Since it will be crossing the border, USPS doesn't deliver here so everything actually gets delivered to Canada by FedEx (if I remember right). There is no need to rush because the border will not cooperate, so it will be just as fast as overnight delivery.

Thanks dcuplover, that's good to know.
Now, all I need to do is sell them! (Am open to offers...)
