OCTOBERFAST 2008

Postby bertvorgon » 01 Oct 2008 05:38

Here it is again...time to plan for OCTOBERFAST...our last blowout drive of the season, another Epic day in the seat. Weather of course is the key issue, as we basically go through 4 different climate areas on our drive.

This year, I entertain we head from HOPE, up the Fraser Canyon, to Lytton, then follow the Thompson River to Spences Bridge, the hook a right and run Highway # 8 back to Merrit..then..just continue across to ASPEN GROVE, and do #5A to PRINCETON, and back down the HOPE/PRINCETON. That should be an eye popping day!

As a bonus, with the Coquihalla being toll free now, I bet more traffic will go that route, and not up the Canyon.

So, lets start watching the calendar, some people are still fixing cars, and I think we agreed that the Thanksgiving weekend was a pass ( unless the weather is stupidly spectacular), and I believe the 18th is a special day.

It is looking like we should try for Sunday the 19th, or the following weekend, Oct 25 or 26

This is a clock wise loop of last year, plus the run back to Princeton

distances, should be able to knock this off in a long day

Say Leonard, I can't bear the thought of your nice car not getting any exercise this year. Why don't you let me take her out for a little run for you  ? I promise I'll have her home before bedtime 8) !

I'm in, after the 12th. I have a thottle linkage that I need to look at, had an "issue" on the way back from the Sept show. Otherwise the Bronze is ready to go.
Ray, I'm not sure about that pointy nosed 510!

Someone needs to contact Gordon, give him the heads up. For more on the clown show, I thin Malc wanted to bring out his GTR.
