I'll wash the Bronze; no major changes onthe to do list.
I'm in.
We still thinking about Saturday am?

Time, place to meet -gotta cal the usual crew.

Malcolm wants to join us this year in his 510, he's pretty happy to have his new ECU up and running.

So this Saturday eh .. where does the time go? Anyways quick question ... What is this I hear about running the 280 front struts and brakes with calipers on the back side without bump steer spacers? I understand after the pads wear to half there is some interference with braking is this true and should I get bump steers? I would like to get this done before the drive

thanks

Depending on the weather, Saturday would be fine with me. Meet at the plant and then 7:00 at the usual Hope Chevron?

If you are not going to use the bump steer spacer (which I do recommend at least 1" worth), then mount he RH side strut of the LH side of the car, and vise-versa. This puts the calipers on the front, no other parts change. The struts couldn't care less which side of the car they run on, and the hub don't care in what direction they turn. Just make sure you brake line is long enough, at full lock both ways, in both full droop and full bump.

Here on the Bronze you can see the Wilwood Dynalites mounted on the front of the spindle; RH spindle on LH side of car and vise-versa

My grey-green 68 at Shasta in 96, the photo is a bit dark, but you can see that the 280ZX calipers are mounted up front

The weather is of course looking dicy for this weekend. The crazy cold fronts are too hard to call. We will make a decision Thursday, so we can make alternate plans for the weekend. If it even smells of rain, we will pass, and shoot for the July 10/11 weeknd.

Thanks for the replies on the bump spacers guys. I just got back from dropping the car off at Specialty to get them installed. Unfortunately on my way out there I discovered that I have a giant bolt head screw in my front driver side tire  Good thing they might be headed to the tire shop anyways so they will hopefully have it taken care of.

I think I just may have a drivable car by then.

I'll lurk in this thread and wait for the weather report.
