Glad you guys ended up with a good day....I was bone dog tired from work last week, and by the time I got home in the morning I had a sore throat, and this morning I feel like crap.....

Hope it stays dry for you today.....

Raining pretty hard this morning too, at least here in Abbotsford-- is the show in N Van going ahead? Hoping so, but can somebody make a call on it and post it here? Many thanks.

Well, the show today also started a bit wet. Not near what Saturday started out like, only drizzle in the morning. But like Saturday, it cleared up by 9am, and held off until after the awards were given out and half of the participants left. However it looked threatening all day. At least three people showed up early in their DD’s, then went home to get their Datsun/Nissan machines. Others definitely held off till later in the am to turn out, we kept registration open another hour until noon. We had three people drive up from across the line – one couple in a silver1600 Roadster all the way from Seattle (brave for a convertible with a marginal heater – good on you guys!). The turnout was very low, due to the weather. 30 cars entered where we usually see around 100 to this show. However it was a very good day. Richard (rnorrish) made the trophies this year, and they were very cool. I got an email tonight from a person who received one saying it was a really cool award, he loves its uniqueness.

Like Saturday, we were wrapped up earlier than usual. But it was a good day and a good weekend all in all. We look forward to doing this again next year. There has been some talk for the past couple of years of moving this event earlier in the year, maybe into the summer a bit more(July/August). We need to check schedules and park availability and go from there. I know this weekend conflicted with the Smack Down event in Oregon, and a few locals from here wanted to attend, and a few people who normally make the trip up to Vancouver fro this event we at Smack Down, so this is reason enough to review the date. Weather has not generally been a concern, with only 4 rain outs in 20 years according to my fuzzy memory, Maybe we could do better on an earlier date.

However for this year, we really need to thank Aron for taking charge of the Auto X, and Terry for stepping in at the 11th hour to organize the show.

We’ll keep you all posted.
So until next year….

I just want to say thanks to a few people that realy hepled out with the day. First is James and Jason did the perimeter of the lot, and it is a big big lot. plus james put all the baracades up the night before,so a big thankyou to you guys. also Ron S. for his help with the front gate, he didn't bring his car to the auto-x because of the monsoon we had in the morning, but he did get to take a couple rides with me. We always look to Byron for his input on these days, as he has been the driving force behind most of them. James and Denis did the tech. for us
and the BCMA guys did the timing for us.....also Terry S. delivered all the equipment for us in the morning.....
I think thats everyone
Anyway I just want to thank you all for helping make the day go smothly. I had a great time getting my car out for its first auto-x. :P

Thanks Aron
