Rivers' Edge - July 28th & 29th

Hey guys,

Anyone going to the races this weekend? Members Gary and Jason Koehn will be racing, in a 510 and Dodge Colt respectively. Both are very fast, interesting cars competing in SPM.
I don't remeber the times exactly, but they're on track Saturday afternoon around 1ish, and after lunch I believe on Sunday.

hi all, just a fyi for you.. dad and i will be racing at mission this weekend, our group races sunday at 12:30 -1st race after lunch break. morning qualifying is 9am till 9:15.

It's Transportation to the track, but it could compete out there...

Is this like Track day ? Like back in the day when the Porsche smacked the wall. Or is it just one or two datsuns racin' ?

I believe its just one 510 racing. (two club members).
Its a real race deal, not a Track day!

And I wont be going...

Hey guys. I got a chance to head out to Mission on the weekend and checked out 510 Club members Gary and Jason Koehn racing. Gary was driving the yellow and blue 510 and Jason was in the Nissan powered blue and white Dodge colt. It was some great action as Gary kicked everyones butts. There were a number of Porsche's, and new Nissan 300Z, some Merkur's (4 cyl turbo, 6 cyl turbo and V8 powered) lots of other big V8's,a dn the 510 BEAT THEM ALL.

This was what 1st, 2nd and 3rd loked like for a while.
Gary in the 510 , some dood who spent a ton o cash on his Porsche 928 and Jason in the Dodge Colt (turbo Nissan powerplant).

Noel Koehn (Gary oldest son and mechanic for Gary this weekend) was wondering if all of these Porsche guys would like to know that they were beat by an X-ice race 510 that used to have a piece of plywood holding up the drivers seat.
