Thanks guys! These seemed to be some of the nicer shots out of the 254(746MB) pictures that I ended up with. Gotta love digital cameras! Just keep clicking!

Awesome pictures. The views on the roads are amazing. I would like to enjoy what Canada has to offer and make a vacation with one of these runs in the middle.

Well, I ordered a couple of seal kits and a couple of clutch slaves from Rockauto right after the cruise to fix my blown clutch slave, buggers sent me 4 clutch slaves by accident instead ... Oh well, can't hurt to have a couple of spares around. Still have the Nissan seal kit I picked up from Glen over the weekend too now ...

Say guys, there's a guy on Jalopnik that says "we drove them like we stole them" and that "we exceeded the posted speed limit for the entire cruise" ... Oops, we're hooligans ...

Well, what can you say....our 'average" speed is so slow it is actually quite funny. Our last drive had us at 40'ish KMH.

Even at the height of my Cannonballs, which has some SERIOUS cruising speeds, our average would not have been very high.

I can only think of a few drives, in the last 20 years, where we maybe cruised for 5-10 miles at any sort of speed higher than the limit.

The shear reality of our mountainous territory ensures that our average speed is very low. As much as my ego would like to think we drove them like we stole them...we all LOVE our cars and never abuse them.

I've seen what stolen 510's look like..IF they are recovered, and non of us would treat them like that.

Hell, even when I race, I race like I love it.

I "get" what he is saying, but, we need to be clear that to average over 60-90 MPH for 500 miles is just not reality.

When you think that 200 out of the 500 miles is in heavy traffic, stop signs, traffic lights, etc., we are lucky if we can DO the speed limit.

Yes, we do use our cars..with a great deal of respect and care.

Is it just me, or did you guys find that article to be mostly incoherent?

That "article" was really just a comment posted to a much better article earlier, and is now turned to an article to add more traffic to there site.
Mission accomplished.

See my other post in 510 club, for an up and coming hike, and yes, we will be planning an Octoberfast, but, it will be down South again.

You don't have a passport do you!?

Mike, we will plan a drive somewhere up here, before the snow flies, for you!

You really should get one Mike, I can see us doing the Winthrop run again, and maybe the whole loop up through the Okanogan.

The silliness here is not going to end anytime soon, there was even a story on this morning news about local cities DROPPING the speed limit from 50KM to 40KM !!!!!

No problem Keith, I can let you have a 657cc micro van to drive ;-)! You won't even be able to get up to supra legal speeds!
