Hi All, the solo course was set tonight - a whole new lay out that will use much more of the lot than we have previously. We'll be registering and pitting at the west end of the lot this year.
I don't seem to have the technology (or software) to convert a .pdf to a jpeg at home in order to post the layout online, so I'll do this tomorrow for you all.

Hi all,

Here is the course map for the Auto X (Saturday) portion of the Vancouver All Nissan Meet Weekend.

Sorry for the delay, I was (am) having technical issues with my drawing program.

In light of the technical difficulties, I just did it the old fashioned way and drew out the course on paper and scanned it – the resolution isn’t great, but it gives a good idea of how we will be better utilizing the lot space for this year. If you click on the map, it opens into better resolution.

It's a great looking course; I can't wait to run it.

It'll be a fun day no doubt, hopefully those close by can attend. It would be really good to see some new guys from just south of the boarder to come up.

The long term weather forecast looks great - continuing what we've had for many weeks now. We'll be setting up tents to stand under to keep some shade on us.

I assembled the trophies last night - it was getting late, but got them done.
Now we have to attach the stenciling to mark each award for its class and position.

Drilled and tapped the bases
Formed the stainless upper sections (I now have very sore fingers!)

The design is all Richards, and he organized the metal to be cut. As usual, Rich never lets us down with his awards, they look great. Thanks for the effort Rich.

We'll be assembling the cone awards for the auto X this week. But here are some photos of the show awards.

I think we'll have the ballots in by 1pm, give an hour or so to count them and get organized and we'll start presenting the awards and door prizes at 2pm. If you have to leave earlier, and the crowd doesn't happen to be standing around your car, I don’t see an issue with quietly (and slowly) slipping out of the show - we'd love to have you attend, we’ll make it work for ya.

Looks like I can make it for the show on Sunday. Anybody want to meet at the plant to convoy over?

Weather is spectacular, make sure you all stay hydrated at the Solo, it will be 30C. on that lot tomorrow.

Cool..or hot as it maybe. Good to see everybody. As my ever evolving holidays plans change here, I may stop by the Solo tomorrow to watch for a bit.

Sorry Keith I must have misread that.. what I think you meant to say was "see you all in the morning for tech! I can't wait to race!"
