It looks like the big storm coming in will blow over by Sunday, so, I will bring smokies and buns, some condiments to throw on. If someone could bring some chips, that would be good.

There is LOTS of fresh water up there.

It will be interesting with the amount of rain predicted, how it will be getting across Roaring Creek. Snow is predicted for higher elevations, we should be ok, we are only at 1,500 Ft..

"Why are you chopping wood..?"

"We are going to do another trip to the old gold mine, and we are going to cook some smokies over a fire!" " We will have a dozen hungry people to feed, and to get warm!" "I won't have the time to do the Mr. Survival guy, as the woods will be wet now!"

Silence for a second...."You be careful...!"

"We're always careful...!"

"What about the time you almost fell off that cliff?!"

"Hey, Matt grabbed me, no problem....!"

I don't know how she has put up with me for almost 40 years of adventures and car racing.....

The woods cut, I will grab some nice fresh buns and smokies, feel free to bring whatever you want. Hopefully this storm blows over. Dress warmly as it will be cool up there. The mountains got some serious snow last night with more to come.

Do NOT forget the clock change tonight, nor be late. I will post up a hand drawn road map later, just in case we get separated on the drive up.

That is some rain storm we are in the middle of, creeks and rivers should be pretty spectacular tomorrow.

Just got back from seeing GRAVITY, what a great movie!

here is a final map, just in case we get separated on the way up.

From Squamish proceed up the highway as though going to Whistler, BUT, you will turn LEFT at the Alice lake intersection, onto the Squamish Valley road.

Proceed along that till you cross a bridge at Cheekye...STAY LEFT!

This puts you onto a paved road, the Squamish River Road. We will go some 12-15 kilometers till we hit gravel, where in a very short distance there will he a LEFT, slightly uphill, that will take you over a single lane bridge, crossing the Squamish River. We will make sure we wait here for any stragglers from the convoy.

from there we follow the gravel road till it crosses another bridge, and heads uphill, past the Innergex Run of River power house. At all times we stay left.
