First summer drive to Fort Casey, via Chuckanut drive

Post by bertvorgon »

I am throwing out July 25th or 26th as a drive date.

Who may be able to make that?

This map shows on I-5, but we will do Chukanut drive from Bellingham, then cut over to #20.

It seems I am committed to the 26th, so, we will plan on the 25th for the drive, weather dependent of course.

We can decide when we get closer of we want to go to Clinton for lunch. Saturday might better for the borders anyhow, for coming back. For our dollar being so crap now, not as many Canucks going across.

I will most likely be in for this. I am 99% sure there is nothing planned that weekend for me.

Hell, just bring Karl!

That's too bad, it is so hard these days to include everybody as we are all so busy.

It's Andy's birthday bash on Sunday, which is why I had to pick Saturday and I'm going camping this Friday.

I am looking forward to seeing the 10" guns.

What are 10" guns?

Did not think Canada allowed the cool/fun stuff like cannons, fully auto, etc.

Some persons in Canada are permitted to own full autos, but they were granted Federal "grandfathered" permission in 1978.

hey OutThere, this cannon is in your country, 10" is the diameter of the bore, getting up there for sure.

Stay tuned for leave times, etc., as we head into the week, I just got back from a wonderful 3 days of camping, now have to wrap my brain around the coming week.
