2018 Summer Drive

Here we are heading into July soon and I have hardly driven my car I have been so busy.
I have two thoughts on the first big drive of the year.
#1 we go to Fort Casey again then work our way back up the old #99 highway like we did last year.
#2 we head up the Hope/Princeton highway and go to Bromley Rock Park for a picnic.
Each has it's own merits. Fort Casey drive MUST be done really early to try to get Chuckanut Drive with no traffic, one car in front of us and we are done from a sporting perspective.
Bromley Park has us being at the Hope Chevron at 5:30 for a 6:00 Am leave. The highway is awesome right now, new pavement in many, many sections. Just a great day of driving.
The U.S. drive allows us to be maybe a bit zippy at times, the CDN drive has us a bit more cautious, but, there are LOTS of passing areas safely. As much as we lucked out last year ( July 29) for our Ft. Casey drive with zero traffic, there are no guarantees we would be lucky again. Either route has traffic no matter what coming back, with the CDN drive having the most open passing areas.
Now, for dates....I have July 7, July 21, July 28 as free for me. These are all Saturdays as the returns from where ever are just better than Sunday's. Weather of course will be a key issue also.
Winthrop I would like to do in September again, we went on the 16th last year. Just has school and tourists for the most part gone back.
Thoughts? Any other suggestions? Personally I am leaning to go to Bromley, just a scenic drive, no border issues.
