Don Norrish is the only club member out there this year. Malcolm, Sean and I didn't do it this year. So if you go, you'll find Don's bright yellow 2dr kickin some FWD ass! Down with those Honda's... BTH, those turbo Hondas set a hell of a bench mark - and in a CRX they have like 500lbs less weight as well, makes life on the ice interesting to say the least.

Cool Spencer.
Vid 1 - that's my 510 in the middle. The engine noise is mine, the gear noise, however, is thankfully not mine! That's belongs to the Mini behind me. One crazy fast, strait cut box, turbocharged super Mini. Even though I do appear to be ahead of it, that guy no doubt passed me in the next corner.
Vid 2 - I'm mid pack in this shot, but going a fair bit faster that both the car in front and behind. Car and I were on the ball that day.
Vid 3 - This is the last corner before the green flag. What you see is a whole bunch of cars nicely lined up for the start grid (as nice as it gets on ice) If you listen, at the end of the clip you suddenly hear acceleration. What you don't see is all hell and mayhem break out as the cars get on it! The first corner is always interesting. You'll have more adrenaline there that during the rest of the race - save for some extreme event.

There is some, but the club has promised to really clamp down on the contact this year. This has been a huge issue, as this is racing - not a demolition derby. The fact is that the contact has people like myself not coming back, and this year the field is really small. If the club shows that it is willing to do a clean race, I'll be back. But I don't like the idea of spending a whole bunch of time to build a car, to have some one else in their wreck smash into it. It's not as bad as I paint it, but it is a problem. I'll be watching this year, and I do plan to go back.
