Website Issues Sept 2009

Post by 5teN » 22 Sep 2009 12:11

Hey Guys,

As some of you know some rather large issues sprung up on the website about 2 months ago. To make things worse they started about 1 week into a 2 month trip of mine! Anyways, I am back and slowly getting other parts of my life sorted out and am now trying to make some time to fix these issues.

I've started on the search problem, which I hope to be fixed after the search indexes are rebuilt. This will take a few hours as there are lots of posts it has to go through.

I'll do my best to keep you guys updated.

Woohoo! I think I got the attachments restored! Everyone have a look and see if you find some that are still missing.

Hey Byron,

It is hard to know what happened but I think some it was a combination of a database error and for whatever reason permissions getting altered.

No problem guys!

UPDATE: Search tables are still being rebuilt! It takes a long time as there are so many posts on our forum. I'd expect the search to be fully functioning in about 5 hours.

Search tables finished rebuilding yesterday evening, so all searches should function correctly now.

Thanks to everyone for being patient while I was away :-)

Patience...ha! We had INTERPOL track you down, and the Press Gang was on it's way to drag you back. Lucky you got back before they got there.
