having trouble sending pm's

like the post says, I can't send out any pm's lately. I have been a member on this site for about 2 years now with no problems until recently. I can only post topics and reply to threads. So when I hit the submit botton to send a pm a preview of what I tried to send comes up. So I try to submit it again thinking that it is just showing me what it will look like and it then says error. Is there certain icon boxes that need to be checked off on the pm page before I submit? Anyone else had this problem? Thanks

seems to be working on and off now. Can't figure out why it works sometimes and not others
