The hauler even has Bosozuku pipes

That picture was taken in 73, it had to be becasue that's the only years all of these models were current.

I was hoping that once you fixed the banner there would be new pics there, it's really tiring seeing those old pics again. I liked the junk yard pics too, I think it would be cool to have a good mix of pictures, good and bad. but it's still a great site either way and I don't come here just to see the banner, but it does catch your eye....Thanks again for all the hard work and dedication to the site.

I kinda like having the old pictures back, thought it was nostalgic, and I like the fab shots, shows that we're more of a hands-on group.

Maybe we could submit our own picts to Spencer so he can expand the library. All we'd need is a template size and file format. Seems that we already have a few PotoShop guys (myself included) who could help expedite this, and make spencer's job easier.

Yes we were talking about having a new car/photo every month.

We could have members send in raw photos, and then we could have a group of photoshop wizards work on making them header friendly. I will post some details shortly!

Spencer, I'd be more than willing to help with the PS. I think we could just start a post for submissions, and then said team of wizards could work on them from there. One could then have FTP access to do the finished ones into the right folder for the banner.

Random would also eliminate any preferential issues in "choosing" what photo gets displayed.

Something we may want to consider is a copyright disclosure / usage agreement for submitting a photo. The forum may not be a for profit business, but that doesn't mean we couldn't still run into usage and copyright issues. Although I'm not sure of Canadian laws regarding privacy and copyright, but in the US it's always a good idea to get a declaration of ownership, and specific permission before using second party intellectual property for public use. This goes double for portraits. In fact I would strongly recommend not accepting picture with people in it, because of all the privacy issues involved.

This process could a be as easy as a usage agreement stating that "By submitting a digital image file here, you are declaring full copyright ownership of the photograph being represented, and you assume full responsibility for the privacy rights of the people and or property represented in it. In addition, by submitting this image file here you are granting the administrators of http://www.the510realm.com full permission to us this photograph as they see fit within the specific context a banner image format representing this site. The administrators of http://www.the510realm.com and their associates are not responsible for, nor do they offer copyright protection for images submitted and or displayed here."

This may seem kind of paranoid, but working as a commercial photographer in the past I've seen some prey F'ed up stuff happen when not using this protection.
