No Problem. Keep in mind that you will need to fabricate motor mounts, trans mount and headers. Cooling is an issue too. Not much room for a radiator and fans.

Other then that, it is pretty straight forward.

There are much better choices for a 200 - 250 HP swap these days.

Do some more research and see if maybe an SR20DET, KA24ET or a VG33 might do it for you

I liked my V8 510 but what made up my mind to sell it was after driving a friends VG30 powered 510. Much better swap in a dime. I am currently building a VG33 powered dime. If the 180HP VG33 is not enough, there seems to be plenty of room for a turbo or two.

My bro has a V8 S10 and its not really that fast IMO. I would much rather have a modern turbo engine. I also hate the sound of a V8, reminds me of my grampa's old Ford truck.

Depends on what you want. If you like torque and a linear throttle response, you don't want a small-displacement turbo engine. I found turbos to be annoying when NOT driving hard. And the VG engines are heavy.

It's pretty cool that there's a generation of drivers who don't like the sound of a V8. Never thought I'd hear that, but it's an interesting sign of the times.

My stock VG30et (OEM t3 turbo w/ stock injectors) puts down 335 rw TQ on 91 octane pump gas.
I'm sure Dave can chime in with some Buick 215 V8 figures.
Of course, the newer 4L Rover V8s are also available...

L16/18s are about 260 pounds add about 15 more for an L20B
KA24DE add another 100 pounds to the L20B
VG30 engines weigh about the same as the KA24DE

So yes the VG30s are heavy but they aren't HEAVY. For monster torque at low speeds and sensible power, the cost in weight is the same as having your skinny g/f along for the ride.

As for the 215 block they weigh around 325 pounds but only make 155 to 185 ( depending on compression etc.) hell the turbo barely made just over 200 hp and this is engine hp not WRHP.

I'd have to say the V8s sound better than a Pathfinder..

my 215 v8 510 was fun it ran 8.2 8th mile . I had a munsi 4 speed and r200 with 390 gears, it topped out at about 110. My sr20510 is much faster and way better gas mileage.

A VG would allow for better F/R weight distribution. And a VG isn't really heavy. It's not SBC heavy. If it's KA heavy like Mike says, that's no problem. My KA510 with roll bar and full interior was 2140, 54/46 F/R. If a VG510 weighs about the same and could improve the F/R by a few percentage, there's only win there.
