Stupid weatherstripping question

Post by jonmorine »

I just want to be sure I order the right ones. The person that had the car before me painted the weatherstripping.

Which weatherstripping is in the following picture that I highlighted in red.

Is it?
2 door rear quarter weather seals or
2 door 68-73 rear 1/4 widow glass seals

It's "2 door 68-73 rear 1/4 widow glass seals".
I assume you are getting it from Datsunland Socal ? (he is the only one I know who has the proper one).

he'll specify that theyre glass to frame VS frame to body.

Yeah I knew they were aftermarket. I just don't understand why they cost so much more than the rest of them on the site. Are there other ones around that I can buy somewhere.

dat$unland$ocal - only person with them=capitali$m...
he did spend some $$ to get the molds made. have heard anything bad about the glass/frame seals. hopefully he did a good job.
doubt theyll ever be cheaper

consider this: a NOS set sold on ebay for ~$400

defdes, from what you wrote in this thread, I thought you were Mike Kay

"FY,I" - gotta watch that punctuation ;)

That's funny....and I always bust on people for spelling/punctuation. Just goes to show, one little misplaced comma goes a long way to confuse.

If he can do that, then he should have the Wagon 1/4 window seals reproduced.
he'd make a killing.
